This is where we found him.....
Reading in peace.... And then we showed up! John and Pop enjoyed some time exploring the landing and looking out at the lake.
Jeff worked this past week on making the landing a little more child-friendly so that we won't have to worry quite as much when John and Owen go down there next week. There is a gate across the stairs down with a latch (which John has almost figured out already, and I'm sure Owen will have mastered in about 5 minutes- we might have to secure it further!) and lifelines around the bottom space. This should at least slow them down a little! We aren't so worried about Ari and Parker, they're bigger and better at stairs then the little guys :)

I love this series of pictures! Its so nice that you guys have a peaceful, quiet spot to read like that. I am falling in love with this house! And Jeff -- good job protecting the kiddos on the deck! Looks very safe!
